Blogging the Men’s Conference 4

Indianapolis, Indiana
Saturday Morning

Today our Holly is 23 years old! The whole family is here for the Dad’s Conference so we were able to have our annual birthday breakfast together.

In the morning session Doug Small preached on how to resolve conflict. His message included a special emphasis on a spirit of humility toward our wives and children. At the end of the session the men stayed in the auditorium and prayed. In the second morning session Mr. Gothard taught on how to help someone who has been sexually abused. He has written a new book that explains how to know that you are saved. Each man will receive a free copy of this book.

There is a beautiful spiritual dynamic here in the meeting. It is evident in the prayer, in the men’s treatment of each other and it is powerfully evident in the singing. I was concerned that the dynamic of the first Dad’s Conference would not be evident in the second conference, but it has been. We cried out together for the healing of Monica DeMass and a man named Michael. Pray that God will honor his Name but giving healing to them. The same Spirit has manifested the glory of Jesus again here in Indianapolis. Please continue to pray for God’s deeper work here.
