EVANGEL BAPTIST CHURCH
There is great rejoicing in my heart this morning. November 11th I accepted the call to Evangel Baptist Church in Taylor, Michigan to join their pastoral team as Senior Pastor. You can count on pictures soon. We are grateful to God for the ministries that the Lord has allowed us to have at IBLP and at First Baptist Church of Momence, and filled with eagerness to begin our new life and ministry in the Downriver Communities back in our beloved Mitten State.
Almost two years ago the Lord began to put Evangel on my heart. I prayed and wrote my thoughts in my journal. Once I was in the area and drove to the church and prayed on the parking lot that God would let me pastor the church if it would be something that He would bless. That dream and desire has become a reality today.
I will Join Pastor Jerry Discerns, Pastor Ken Pyne, and Pastor Brian Hess to form the pastoral team. I follow Pastor Ron Graef, who was their Senior Pastor for almost thirty-six years.
Ken – we are very happy for you and Lois and family. Looking forward to having you back this way.
Ken- this was one of the first things I wanted to know about this morning, and now I know. I’m so happy for you ! I know this has been your heart’s desire for a while, even while you were still here. I know you and your family will be a blessing to those there, as you all have been a blessing to so many here. We will look forward to visiting you soon. Please keep me posted.

Greetings Pastor Pierpont and family: Ruthie gave me the great news a couple of days ago so we had to stop by the library today so I could see it myself. We have been out for coffee and a bit of shopping. We praise the Lord for His direction and provision for you and the family. You have been a real blessing to our family and know the Lord will continue to use you there in Taylor, MI. We will continue to pray for you as change- even good- can add pressure to our lives. And the PAIN of moving! God bless you and thanks again.

Thanks for the impact you had on my children during your time at IBLP. I know the people there will miss the rich treasures you shared with them from God’s Word. But I’m delighted to see you pastoring a church. May God give you a gracious boldness as you serve Him.

I have been waiting patiently about 29mo. for the LORD to send a shepherd to lead HIS sheep and how gracious and faithfull He is. I also prayed to send someone He could speak to ME! through His WORD. GOD answers heartfelt prayer.Wolla !!! Every one of your sermons the LORD speaks to me and touches my inner most areas of my HEART. I thank the LORD thank you LORD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy New Year to you and your family! It sounds like you have been well received into your new church. I always felt that God spoke directly to my heart through your words. You have an awesome way with words. I pray that God will Bless us with a man of God like yourself, here at First Baptist in Momence. Keep us in your prayers. Your book was a quick read, I couldn’t put it down. It’s one I will read over and over! Tell Lois and the kids hi for me. God Bless you all!
I use to go to evangel since I was in my mom’s stomach and when i was born i went with my grandparents, David & Mary Ann Rogal. I love that church and all of the wonderful people who have influenced my life. After moving to Alabama with my mom I have tried to find another place where I feel at home but I cannot. So what I am trying to say is take care of this church and the people inside. They are amazing people and God has blessed you to be surrounded by them.
Ken, I was just looking over your congratulatory notes on Evangel. I too am so happy you and Lois and your dear ones are settled in there now and making a mark for Christ.
We are praying for a good job for Chuck as well as the girls who need work and for the future for each and every one. Not a day passes but what your mother shares nice pictures and comments from the website and “face book” or whatever. We enjoy them so much.

Just a thought… Do you think the church will ever offer a singles group ministry? There are alot of christians that are in need of that type of fellowship. I’m a widow and it’s so very hard to meet other single christians. I do not want to meet someone who does not share my beliefs.
