Grocery Bags

15 July 2008 4 views One Comment

I drove in one day with a trunk full of groceries. The children were small at the time. They all ran out to help me in. We stacked the grocery bags on the counter. They helped mom put the food away. I stood back with delight and watched them as they eagerly scrounged through the bags shouting excitedly about each item in them.

“Macaroni and cheese. Yes!”

“Ohhhh, Moose Tracks Ice Cream!”

The Father is so good. He continually gives so many gifts. They flow continually into our lives every day. Like eager children we root through the bags of his bounty every day to discover what is ours.
They are in all the world around us. They are in His word. Some are disguised as trouble, opposition, pressure, or disappointment, but they are gifts from the Heavenly Father stacked all around us.

God is so good he even gives us the ice cream of life. He also gives us medicine of life that we don’t like, like you said. The important thing is to be Thankful for all.
The gift of eternal life is the best!!
