God, Revealing His Will…

Date: Thursday September 16, 2004

Thursday as I was getting ready for the day I started out just praying to the Lord.

I prayed over many different things but one of them was that the Lord would show me clearly His will about my speaking to young ladies. I know that this was something He would be pleased in and this was something good but I wanted to know if this was something that was part of His plan for my life.

The Lord has been so good to me, especially lately.

As I have just been trying to trust Him wholly with my life, I have seen Him revealing His will and plans to me and that is so very exciting.

I prayed “Lord if you want me to have a ministry to young ladies please give me an opportunity today”.

As I was sitting at the front desk Dad came back behind the desk to tell me that someone had just called and wants me to speak to the young girls at Camp Barakel again this weekend for the Father/Daughter retreat.

I was so happy for the Lord revealing His will. Now I know it is Him and not just my own desires.

I want this to be part of how I live. Asking for His answers and trusting Him show me His perfect will and always have the grace of obedience.

So I will be speaking twice to the young girls this weekend and I think I will be speaking on how to honor our Father on one of the sessions and then the next will be on a missionary theme.

I have a burden on my heart tell others the wonderful stories of those who have paved the way and given us the example to follow.

When I taught in AWANA club every Wednesday I would tell the little kids a different story of a missionary. It was awesome to see them listen to the stories I grew up knowing and listening to yet they had never heard of such such people willing to die? They listened so well. I love to remember their sweet faces…

Anyway, I want to tell the girls a series of Missionary stories of young ladies and men who were faithful to God. Mainly make it a story time for them yet filled with inspiration to be a light where they are. It is convicting to me as I prepare and think about it.

Pray for me if you think about it that God would use me to teach of His beauty.

As I thought today “I have an amazing opportunity to share the most important things with eager young girls!” they are ages 9-11. I think there are around 30 of them.

God is doing wonderful things and I am so happy to be in His will.

(Right now I am reading “Through Gates of Splendor” wonderful book.)
