Last night Heidi and I went to Birch Run Mall. I love that place! I was able to get a really cute knee-length khaki corduroy skirt, pink striped sweater and dress shirt for really good prices. I love Gap. We also went to Tommy Hilfiger and found good deals there too. I love shopping. I guess I am all girl. That’s for sure.
Coming up this coming week starting Monday Effective Communications is going to be here at the Inn so I am going to be attending that. Dad will be speaking. I will be giving a testimony. I am really looking forward to that and have been for quite some time now.
Right now I am in the middle of taking a Bible Course through Verity. It is really been my hearts desire to do this for a while and here a program comes right to my home. So I am studying for the first class this coming Thursday. We are studying Titus 2:1-10.
I am also planning a Young Ladies Winter Gathering ages 12-25 this January. The dates are January 20-22. This is exciting for me and I will be posting more information on the site soon with details.
In the afternoons after I am off Front Desk I’ve been helping mom by teaching Dan, Wes and Hope. I really had no idea how rewarding this experience feels. When I help them I feel like this is one of the best things I could be doing with my time. I am happy to invest in their little lives. I really love these guys and it’s been fun.
So teaching school can really take up a lot of time but I know it is an important job. I am glad to be a help to mom and also to be able to be a big part of these little lives. I asked God for 3 disciples this year to teach the Commands of Christ. He gave me three willing hearts that I really love.
So MY life is so good and filled up with good things only because HE is good all the time…

Today we drove around the beautiful country of Holmes County, Ohio.
The day was absolutely gorgeous. As we drove along the back roads we stopped to buy bright orange pumpkins. They were sitting in a wagon near the narrow gravel road that ran by.
Trees of golden yellow and dark red in color arched over the road making a beautiful life picture as horse and buggy slowly made their way through falling leaves.
Children walking home from school smiled and waved shyly as we drove by, their lunch pails swinging by their sides. These small children a picture of contentment as they walked these winding roads here among the hills and meadow fields…
I noticed a small young man making his way home through the cow pasture from the small one room schoolhouse. He seemed eager to be home and I wondered if he realized the quiet and peaceful life he had here among the sound of a turning windmill or the horse and buggy going by.
Harvested corn stalks stood in tall rows, neatly kept farms and schoolhouses dotted the countryside. As we drove on and we came to a high point in the road to look across, the valley reminded me of a beautiful patchwork quilt.
An intricate appliquéd quilt hung on the line in the sun. The quilt was a reminder of hard work and patience it was a finished quality heirloom.
I love quilts and I have a couple of quilts I need to finish before Christmas this year for gifts…
My heart lately has been overflowing with how wonderful the Lord has been to me!
He has been so good and it reminds me of the verse in James Chapter 1 and verse17:
“Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above and comes down from the Father of lights”!
When I first prayed for a laptop I knew I wanted it mainly for the ministry the Lord has called me to with Young Ladies. So as I prayed and God gave me my desire I feel so strongly that the Lord was confirming in my heart that if I want to serve Him he will bless that, He will give me everything I need to serve Him.
Not that I needed a laptop to serve Him of course I did not I knew that. But He wants me to serve Him with everything that I have and that is what I intend to do with this very new very beautiful machine that I have now.
I have this brand new I.B.M. ThinkPad. I thank the Lord everyday for His goodness to me.
As I dwell on the awesome wonder of the Lord and His ways I keep thinking “What did I do right?” And I believe the Lord keeps reminding me that it is nothing I have done it’s only the goodness of Him.
Because my Father is so good my life is blessed with too many blessings.
Thank You Lord.
