Thank You Lord, Again…

” Enter into His gates with Thanksgiving and into His courts with praise; be thankful unto Him and bless His name”! - Psalm 100:4

This morning as I sat down to write out some things I was thankful for I realized how very much I have. I had to grab another piece of paper…

Tears clouded my eyes as I thought about what He has done. I realized every year I say the same things. God has provided more food than I can eat, more clothes than I can wear, and a wonderful place to live. He has given family and friends and the joy of living life.

He has been faithful through the years!

He never changes. He never changes! And He is faithful. He stays true when I failed in sin. And provides new mercy each morning I crawl out of bed thinking only about myself.

He has given me so much this year to be thankful for. But I realize I am most grateful this year for His unchanging faithfulness toward me. That I can say again thank you Lord for clothes, food and a home and family…

“Know therefore that the Lord thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations” - Deuteronomy 7:9

Lord thank you for your faithfulness. I don’t deserve anything you give. All I can say to your outstretched hand again is a humble whispered thank you with tears in my eyes and my head bowed low, I want to say thank you Lord, again.

My Journal: November Is Here!

——————————————-
Cold winds begin to blow in as we pull out our heavy winter coats and warm scarves…

Today here at the Inn it’s warm inside. Music is playing over the first and second floors, and I have my favorite Chai Tea as I write…

Soon we will all be decorating the lobby again. I love that. We play Christmas music and decorate the huge trees in the lobby. We also will string lights and garland up the stair rail to the second floor. It’s always so pretty when we are finished.

I am really looking forward to this Holiday Season. We are all looking forward to the Christmas Conference in Indianapolis coming up the beginning of December. Only about one month away.

I think we are even planning a shopping trip to Chicago around Christmas. I love going to downtown Chicago and looking at all the storefront windows decorated for the holidays. I am so excited about going back this Christmas.

We have to go to The American Girl Company, for Hope. She already gets the Christmas magazine with life size picture of the doll she wants. As she looks her brown eyes get big and round as she tells what she plans to get for Christmas this year.

I am keeping myself busy these days with all kinds of exciting ministry type things.

I am taking a Bible Module class. Which is very interesting so far. I am excited at the possibility of learning more about the Bible to teach to my children someday and also to teach other young ladies.

The “Winter Gathering” is going to be here before I know it. So I am trying to get some of the details planned before the Holidays come. The Lord really seems to be blessing this retreat with a lot of Young Ladies that are interested. I really pray that this Gathering will touch the hearts of girls in a lasting way.

I am trying to keep up with my journaling daily in my beautiful little pink journal. I usually forget about it until late at night and then pull it out of my nightstand to scribble some thoughts down. It is meaningful to me and to do it helps me think through things better and more clearly.

Soon all students and staff will be leaving for the Holidays and it will change around here. Reminds me of the song “Home for the Holiday”.

That’s how life is going lately for me. My family is as wonderful as they can be and life is going great. We are all excited about the upcoming holiday season’s and I plan on getting some really good books and spending time reading and writing. Maybe write a good Christmas Story for Hope or just read her a good classic. She loves a good story before her eyes close in sleep. And I love her.

Lord Jesus take this life of mine
Worthless as it may be
Take it, fill It, and make it shine
That it may shine for Thee.
