My Journal: Watering The Daisies

There is a little red pail that sits on the Front Desk. Growing out of the pail are three red daisies. I think they are called “Gerber Daisies”. People often walk by and say the flowers remind them of spring.

Today I noticed when I came to the Front Desk the beautiful bright daisies looked a little wilted, bent over not nearly as bright as before…

Psalm 63:1

“O God, thou art my God; early will I seek Thee, my soul thirsteth for Thee, my flesh longeth for Thee in a dry and thirsty land where no water is…”

I was thinking about this verse lately and was reminded of it again when I came to the desk to work this morning.

There is a little red pail that sits on the Front Desk. Growing out of the pail are three red daisies. I think they are called “Gerber Daisies”. People often walk by and say the flowers remind them of spring.

Today I noticed when I came to the Front Desk the beautiful bright daisies looked a little wilted, bent over not nearly as bright as before.

Chuck noticed too and went to give them some much-needed water.

I read so much about how our bodies need purified water and lots of it. Just like we need water daily we need that pure water that only comes from Him. We need the purest water of life from our Father. We need Him daily, hourly all the time to make our lives bright and outstanding to others who need Him too.

That pure crystal flowing water will brighten our lives just like those flowers. But we need to thirst for and drink of Him all the time in order to be spiritually healthy, just like my “Gerber Daisies” sitting on the Front Desk need water every day to stay bright, cheery and healthy.

Just some of my thoughts today…
