When I was younger Mom always said “Spend time with your sisters”.
I tried to always obey but it seemed like I was at times selfish and did my own “grown up” things without them.
Sometimes they tell me of the times I would go off and leave them and it’s hard for me not to cry when I think about it to this day. I regret the few times I did that as a younger girl. But most of the time we would all go do stuff together as sisters because Mom said we had to.
Tonight Heidi, Hannah, Hope and I went out to eat at a sit-down restaurant, just us girls. As I sat there I realized I love spending time with them. I see Mom was right and they have become my dearest and closest friends.
We got to talking together about all kinds of different things. I realized as we sat there these are the girls that I would rather spend time with now more than any others. From Heidi (18) my beautiful blonde quiet sister to Hannah (16) the beautiful talkative servant-type to Little Hope America (6) a pretty little girl that (looks like me) wants to have grown up lady conversations with us. I love them all so much and their unique personalities.
Now don’t get my wrong as Sisters we do fight, heaven knows we do. But we love and stick up for each other and we definitely stick together.
I am so thankful Mom knew ahead of time that the most important people on earth are right in our very own homes, our family. “ ‘Best Friends’ can come and go but Sisters will always be there” That’s what Mom said and that has proven to be true. My Sister’s have become my Best Friends.
