It’s been so long since I last updated this site! So much has been going on in my life since then it’s been amazing. God is doing His wonderful work in and through my life in His beautiful ways and I am so happy to call Him my own.
This whole week I am at the “Effective Communications Class” in Indianapolis. It’s been a good week to be with Dad, hear him speak and also learn practical things I can put to good use as I speak to young ladies.
I am constantly reminded here of God’s love for me. Today as I got up and started to get ready for the day I was physically not feeling my best at all. I was feeling really very bad.
There is a train that runs by south campus here the place I am staying. I heard a story once that was unforgettable to me told by Christianna Reed Maas. She tells the beautiful story of how she felt loved by God each time she heard a train whistle blow. That’s one of my favorite stories I think and I never forgot it.
Today as I was getting ready having one of those rough days in life we all end up having. I suddenly heard a long train whistle blowing loud in the distance. I hurried to the window opened it up, the cool wind blew in across my face, birds sang in the gray mist and I listened eagerly in the stillness of the morning as the train came closer and closer.
God really does love me and I love knowing and feeling that and responding to Him. Breathing a prayer to the Lord standing there in the window looking toward heaven I said “I love you too Lord” and closed the window down going back about my morning with the knowledge I am very loved.
Today look for the little ways in which He will show you how deeply He loves you too He is so good to His children.
