If you don't think we have an influence on the environment, Josiah, take a look at air pollution pictures from space.

We can oppose abortion AND reduce our non-renewable petroleum product consumption (including plastic bags). As others said, being good stewards of the earth will help OUR future babies and grandbabies.

It's very easy to oppose environmental causes simply because non-Christians support them, but shouldn't we look at the facts and try to make a sound judgement?

Little babies are near the pinnacle of God's creation. Their protection is a moral issue weighted infinitely beyond littering. In the public conscience littering is considered a moral outrage by many of the same people who are engaged in fornication, infanticide, disrespect for authority and their parents, injustice, or oppression. The real issue is the law of God not the politically-correct and corrupted popular moral consciousness. God will one day renew the earth and rule here personally. Then babies will be safe. P.S. I hate those irritating plastic bags blowing everywhere, Ann and Christians are stewards of God's creation, but the enemy would love for Christians to be preoccupied with road-side clean up while tolerating unspeakable moral evil. Hitler had a great neighborhood clean-up program, but it was a smoke screen for outrageous demonic evil.

Good stewardship is one thing, but I believe thinking that we have so great of influence over the environment is somewhat deluded. If the nations are accounted as a drop in the bucket, then I am assured our influence is of very minor significance. My King said to the oceans, "this far and no farther". Nothing happens here outside of His ordaining it. But His heart is certainly wrenched when He hears the spilled blood of children crying to Him. This country is marked by what God will not tolerate. Unless God's people get up and do something about that, we're toast and won't have around to have any environmental influence anyway.

Thank you Sherri Ann for your comment. I respect your thoughts. I do however want to spent all my energy on that which is most important and life threatening at this moment and what is most unpopular to talk about right now is unborn babies, amazingly enough... Most of all this is murdering of little ones. Not just saving the earth... it will one day burn. God want's the little children though. THanks again for your thoughts!!

Holly, the overconsumption of plastic bags has a huge and unfortunate impact on our environment. From roadside pollution, animal endangerment, and unnecessary oil usage; the list is endless. It is our responsibility to defend God's creation, and "eco-friendly" bags are a great way to start. I encourage you to save babies and plastic bags, for both are important (although not necessarily equally) for our future and the lives of our families.

I recycle and use reusable bags to help those babies that I try to save (and my future grandchildren) by honoring the glory that God has given us and by doing my part to protect it.

I would definitely buy a "Save the Babies" reusable bag for my frequent trips to Target. Great idea :)
