What’s To Love About Fall…

Yesterday, I was in the store and noticed some flannel sheets. This is about the time that everyone drags them out of storage and puts them on their beds. (I have a confession - I always have them on my bed- YEAR ROUND!) Anyway, I found some new ones at Target. Sage Green. I bought them. I have a new love for earthy tones- sage green, in fact. I don’t think I am going green … Though I do love sage green of late! I would like to be better at ‘going green’ don’t get me wrong. I just think sometimes we make issues out of things that don’t matter in light of the things we so easily DO allow…murder of the innocent. That is my statement on that!

Anyway, so with fall comes the time of year that I love to burn candles. This is another thing I love about fall. Candles just make things in the home cozy. So, in my room I share with my little sister Hope, we have tea lights in the windowsill. On either side of the small gourd like pumkin I have sitting on the windowsill as well.

Smelling fall leaves… this has to be one of the most wonderful scents. If they made a candle that would even hold a candle to the original scent? This girl would have it.

We were just recently in Kentucky. Fall in Kentucky, need I say more? I have decided I have to live out in the country in one of those big farm houses… grow a big family enjoy life from that perspective. That’s what I will have when I grow up and get married one of these days.

Lately I have been quilting again. I need to post a picture here of the one I finished. I love quilting. I love putting together classy colors and knowng I created it! Like any kind of crafting quilting is what YOU make it. I have already started a new one and am looking forward to getting the ones out of the closet that still need finished this fall/winter season.

I always enjoy a good book. Which I need to get a good one again… maybe I will walk through the leaves to the Library today. Yeah.

The fireplace. We have a fireplace at our house. I love it. It’s cozy and in the evenings our family will usually gather there in the living room around the fire. I think about that while I am at work and have to work outside in the cold.

Mrs. Meyer’s Clean Day Lotion in Geranium scent. Ok with fall comes dry, dry, dry skin! I know. There is some lotion, that is great, with a clean fresh scent. It reminds me of working for the family I worked for in Hinsdale Chicago area. She would use this in her laundry room. Oh and guess what… it’s “earth freindly” yeah. So there..

Vitamins!! Fighting ANOTHER cold! I just had one last month. I thought maybe I would start this winter off right! Taking my vitamins. I have Echinacea, C and Zink. If there are other really good ones let me know! Oh but I can’t take garlic. For reasons that are obvious.

Spiced Cider I got this while shopping last night. It was so festive out for some reason and I usually get coffee but this time spiced cider seemed to be what I craved. So I got one! It was so good!

George Winston. I LOVE George Winston. He is relaxing and you can listen to him while you watch the leaves fall…. What do you love about fall? Count your blessings today.
