In mid-October we re-visited the cabins we have enjoyed for years. Dan checked out the tramp. Life is good… even up-side-down.
Holmes County, Ohio
Tuesday afternoon we drove the backroads like we used to when all the children were small. Everyone has a heartland and as much as I love my adopted state of Michigan something stirrs deep within me when I visit the cluster of counties in central Ohio known as Holmes, Licking, Knox and Coschocton.
Courtship
On the banks of a swift-running brook on a perfect autumn day together. We all enjoy being a part of Kyle and Elizabeth’s courtship. Heidi, Hope, Hannah, Dan, Kyle, Elizabeth and Wes.
Elizabeth and Kyle
Parshalville Mill Saturday, October 9th we spent some time with Kyle and Elizabeth at a quaint old mill in the Michigan countryside, complete with a waterfall, fresh cider and donuts. It was a perfect autumn day.
Autumn Day
On the way home we found a yard full of maple leaves. The happy couple were glad to pose for some more photos there.
Fall Day
We met Elizabeth about three years ago at Camp Barakel. She was a counselor. I (Ken) was the speaker for the week. I thought Kyle might want to get to know her and keep in touch. Eventually the Lord led them together. They have been inseparable since.
