Yesterday the 9th and 10th grade students from Evangel dug completely around an entire wing of the church by hand for a water-proofing project. They worked so hard with a sweet spirit. They are an outstanding group of young people.
“The flower of youth is never more beautiful than when it bends toward the Sun of Righteousness.”
Last night we took the team to Indiana Dunes to watch the sunset. We had planned it all week, but when the time came it was cloudy and dark. I said, “It will be a miracle if we see a sunset.” We climbed to the top of the dune, but I began to speak. Fifteen minutes into my talk or less the clouds parted and the sun shone down in shafts on the Chicago Skyline across the lake, the sun setting just to the north from where we were. We sat down and watch the most beautiful orange ball cast an orange path on a silvery blue lake and then sink down until it was dusk.
