After and long and mellow summer and a colorful lingering fall we are wearing warm things tonight. The temperature will drop into the thirties by morning. The furnace will awaken and send warmth coursing through the veins of Granville Cottage.
In an hour or so we will slip between flannel sheets and our sleep will be a little deeper, a little sweeter. Before we are overtaken with sleep our hearts will be filled with thanksgiving and humble, grateful dependance upon the God who created the seasons and gave us a little place on the earth to enjoy watching them turn.
