It’s Independence Day weekend in America. It’s iced tea and watermelon time. It’s fireworks and firecracker time. It’s time for sparklers and sweet tea. It’s time for lemonade and lightening bugs and bandstands with bunting. It’s a good weekend for long talks in lawn chairs on porches and under shade trees. It’s time for strolling on the grass in the cool of the evening.
The weather this weekend has been post-card perfect. Last night the neighbors were trying out their fireworks. That has our Yorkie, Hazard in a bit of an uproar. He is ready to dig in and defend the family. He doesn’t understand the celebration. To him it’s just noise and confusion and danger. I hope you will take a few quiet minutes to consider what I have to say in this weeks Stonebridge Story. Pass it on to others and encourage them to subscribe at www.kenpierpont.com
