Wolf Lake
Wolf Lake as seen from the Northwoods Conference Center. It has been our privilidge to retreat to the north here for the last two years. These are refreshing and productive times for us. The day this picture was taken Lois and I took a Kayak out onto the lake. We watched three loons play in the water for twenty minutes. Approaching Duck Point we saw movement high in a tree. It was a mature bald eagle. It flew into another tree on the point and than mounted to the sky and circled there for a half-hour.
The next day while running I was attacked by a Canadian Goose… that was not the way I had planned of elevating my heart rate. Anyway, God has allowed us to have a couple places “Up North” where we can reatreat from the city and the pressures of ministry at the Inn and enjoy God’s creation, quiet times with each other, solitude and peace. This is one of them.
