Keep your eye on this blog. Right now the Pierpont girls are on the Kentucky Mountain Parkway Tour. Holly is posting photos and stories. It is sweet to follow. Surf over and leave her a comment.
My Dad
My Dad has a tender heart. Lois took this beautiful picture of him while he was listening to the girls sing yesterday at his church. Lois said he kept wiping tears from his eyes as the girls sang and testified. The girls got to hear him preach twice yesterday. They tell me my grandfather once preached at Mt. Zion. That makes me want to preach there some day. That would make it about three churches and a camp where all three Kenneth Pierponts have preached. Maple Ave. Christian Union, Linnville Christian Union, the C U Campgrounds, and maybe someday Mt. Zion.

The Pierpont Sisters are on the road. Read all about it. Let your friends know about the Kentucky Mountain Parkway tour. They can follow the tour, see pictures, and read about the girl’s ministry adventures.
Since Chuk was in his early teens he has been fascinated with the idea of going to Colorado. A few years ago I had an idea. I told my older sons, Kyle and Chuk, that they should throw their guitars in the trunk of their Volvo and head west singing on the streets, in church halls, and wherever people would host them and listen. I told them that they could blog their adventure as they go and that people would love to follow their travels. They could camp out or except hospitality from people they met on the way. They loved the idea but they loved the idea of pursuing college diplomas and wives even more so it never happened. [Read more…] about Mountain Parkway Tour
Stonebridge Academy Commencement
Hannah will have an “open house” on Friday night at Evangel Baptist in Taylor, Michigan to recognize the completion of her high school at the Stonebridge Academy. There are four Stonebridge Academy graduates so far and they are all doing well and making good in the world. We expect the same of Hannah. She is a sweet, social girl with a kind heart and a sincere love for Jesus. Did I mention that she is beautiful, too? We are grateful for her. She has never caused a moment of worry for her mother or I. She is a delightful daughter. After her month-long Kentucky tour she hopes to spend a couple weeks serving at Camp Barakel this summer. Right now she is literally counting the days until they leave for the Bluegrass. A week from today she will be on the porch enjoying an Ale-Eight with her mom and sisters. Congratulations, Hannah!
Bernice Grinnell
In about 1982 we met Bernice Grinnell. She was a member of our church. Her husband died. Shortly after that, she had a hip replacement surgery and had to stay in a rest home for a while. We visited her. I took Kyle along with me when I visited her. He was just a little tiny boy about two at the time. [Read more…] about Bernice Grinnell
Kyle Kenneth at Sunset
Sunday night Kyle Kenneth watched his first Lake Michigan sunset. He doesn’t know this but it is deep in his genetic makeup to love an evening like this. Kyle (Dad, Kyle) said the day was sweet as a bag of Starbursts. That boy has a way with words, doesn’t he?
Today we drove to Angola and spent most of the day at a State Park just talking. We had a pizza picnic, drank some sodas and took more pictures of wee Kyle. The boys flew a kite. Holly and Heidi worked. Chuk should have finished moving into his new apartment in Sister Bay by now. It’s back to work tomorrow. I hope your Memorial Day was sweet as a bag of Starbursts.
