In the “How Embarrassing” Category: Lawn Chairs. Some lawn chairs are better than others. On the way to speak at a camp a couple summers ago I tried out a beach chair. It wasn’t very high-quality. How do I know, you ask? I tested it. I set it down in the isle of the store and sat down on it. Immediately it collapsed on the floor. I decided I would keep looking for a chair of a little higher quality. They just don’t make lawn furniture like they used to. Quality being what it is these days I would recommend that you always test drive your lawn chair before you buy it. Somewhere someone is going to get a real laugh when they watch that little episode on the security tape.
I fell in the hospital and was so embarrassed that I hurriedly got up and left some important papers in the restroom. God took care of them. The bad part of this true story is the next day I did the same but I didn’t get up so quickly. I separated my thumb from my hand and broke my thumb. Seems the weather was playing with the wax and they didn’t allow for the cold and the wax separated so many people got hurt those couple days.
I hope you laughted instead of being embarrassed. We take ourselves too serious.
