I heard a man from India today. Before he met Christ he was a drunkard and beat his wife every day. One day a co-worker came to his house to tell him of Jesus. He invited his lewd friends over to mock the man, but when he heard the gospel he was smitten in his heart and in his conscience. He repented and turned to Jesus.
He and his wife reconciled and began to pray together on their knees. They visited a pastor the next day and were baptized in the Bay of Bengal. The next morning he went out and purchased a megaphone. His wife would sing to draw a crowd and he would preach the gospel. He would carry his son on his shoulders when he walked from town to town to tell people of Jesus. He purchased a little motor scooter so he could reach more people. He eventually quit his job and began to live on whatever came in so that he would be free to preach all day every day. Today he has founded an orphanage with two hundred children and planted over fifty churches in India.
His name is Pastor Mekala and he is another in huge crowd of witnesses to the fact that when God does a life-changing work in your life you just have to talk about it.
