The last few hours of Christmas day are slipping away. God has been very good to us. We exchanged a huge pile of gifts, and Lois made all our favorite Christmas dishes and desserts. Friends from the church made us a counter-full of Christmas baked goods. The house was alive with chatter and laughter all day, well, most of the day. The girls all watched the six-hour version of Pride and Prejudice which they have done repeatedly vowing that it gets better every time they see it. Just overhearing the dialog makes me want to jump into the Detroit River. It was a great day, though, because while all the women were busy watching Mr. Darcey stare in mute silence at Miss Elizabeth I spent time with Kyle Kenneth.
I hope you had a good Christmas and that you are making plans for a New Year that will honor the Lord and bring you and your family great joy and fulfillment.

Dear Brother Ken,
Great name for your home. Our family visited Bedford Falls on Christmas Eve (again). Had all seven children here on Christmas Day (all seven is becoming something of a rare event as they are leaving the nest). Melinda gave me your book for Christmas with a wonderful inscription she wrote in the front. Read a few randomly chosen stories including the one about ‘dishwater’ in the pop bottle. i find it hard to believe you were as naughty as you indicate.
May Our Lord bless you and yours in your new home and ministry.
