Here are my notes for the message I preached yesterday morning. The series is a “fly-over” of Romans called “Five Steps Into the Heart of God’s Plan for Your Life.”

Abundantly above all you ask or think. God knew I was thinking I sure would like the notes of this morning’s sermon. I wrote a lot but missed a lot. I need to write faster and get more paper. I don’t want to miss a word of the sermons. Thank you for listening to the Lord about this desire.

Thank you very much, this helps. Are the notes from the 16th etc… on Romans going to be posted? God Bless

Pastor Ken,
Some good preaching yesterday! Remember you asked me to think about the practical aspects of applying Ro 8? Take a look at the following synopsis:
17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.
18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
It says, IF children… IF so be we SUFFER. Goes along with many other verses, but here are a couple:
2 Cor 12:10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.
Ph 3:10 That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;
Look at what Paul takes pleasures in? The key to suffering is denouncing ALL THINGS of SELF! Therefore, the key to LIVING in Christ through the Spirit is to recognize all of what is “the FLESH” and put it to death in ourselves. That includes especially our strengths, fleshly joys, personal likes, personal discouragements, the worlds joys, the worlds dress, the worlds music, the worlds likes, choices, prides, and all that exalts itself above God! And when you “put away” those things, then you are CRUCIFIED unto the world and the world in CRUCIFIED unto thee! Well, that means the world will HATE you for taking such a NEGATIVE attitude toward it! You see, Jesus Christ said:
The world cannot hate you; but me it hateth, because I testify of it, that the works thereof are evil.
If the world does not hate us, then we need to check outselves to see WHERE we are failing at LOVING God! The more you want to love God, the more the world will hate your love!!
Could go on, but enough to consider.
By the grace of God alone,
Bro George
