Tiger Woods wants his privacy… Pastor Terry Gibson pointed me to C. J’s essay on the subject. It is sobering. May God help Tiger and his family tonight. May he help us each to live lives that bear close scrutiny and remember the ones we love need our integrity. I once saw Tiger at the Buick Open. After waiting to see him for hours he took the Lord’s name in vain. It was disappointing. So many look up to him.
Here is the last paragraph of C. J’s article:
“And this story should humble and sober us. It should make us ask: Are there any so-called “secret sins” in my life? Is there anything I have done that I hope nobody discovers? Is there anything right now in my life that I should confess to God and the appropriate individuals? And this should leave us more amazed by grace because there, but for the grace of God, go I.”
Deborah Butler
Let he who is guiltless cast the first stone! I have to ask God every day for forgiveness. But I have to wonder-is Tiger saved? It doesn’t appear so. Do I look saved? I know I am, but do others know? Self-evaluation is so important! Lord, please remind me that it only takes one sin to separate me from you! Just one!
