I grew up eating my mother’s version of goulash. After Lois and I married we used it to keep the kids full. If you look at them now, they are probably about thirty percent goulash. We all love it. My Old Journal
Yesterday I was moving some books and stumbled across an old journal. A thirty-year-old journal. Lois and I were married in September of 1979. The first journal entry was the first of October.
“My first entry in this journal will be by way of introduction. I have been married a week short of a month and I am working my way through college and supporting my family at VanCleve Elementary in Troy, Ohio.
A few days before my marriage I was reading some short writings of my dad’s that he wrote while in the Navy and studying at Norhtwestern University in Chicago, Illlinois. It is my hope that someday my son will be able to read my thoughts at twenty and I would be able to help him deal with life in a way that is honoring to Christ.”
A Form of Evil…
