Here in Oak Brook/Hinsdale there are miles of beautiful, well-maintained bike trails. With the CRIM Race coming up August 26th at the very front door of the hotel in Flint I have been putting in some miles and hours running and riding and our new home is surrounded with great places to do that. Hinsdale is a delightful place to run and bike. The homes and yards of Hinsdale are garden and park-like.
Last week I ran over 25 miles including a few with my lovely daughters Heidi and Hannah who are getting ready to run the 5K race on CRIM Day. I have put in some miles on my bike, too. This morning I ran five miles just after dawn in Fullersburg woods to beat the heat of the day. It was hot and humid and when I was done it felt good to have done it. I cubed up a nice cold watermelon and put it in a bowl and carried it to the bedroom and set on the bed with Lois adn started the day with a good, healthy snack and a talk.
Sunday, August 6th I will preach at Family Fellowship Bible Church near Imlay City. From August 8-11 I will speak for the Institute In Basic Life Principles Regional Training Conference in Indianapolis, Indiana. On Thursday night the Pierpont family will sing for the conference. If you are interested in the conference you can read about it and register on-line at by visiting the IBLP site. Let me know if you are going to be there. I would like to meet you.
Keep your eye on my lovely wife’s site. She posts pictures every few days.
