Bair Lake Bible Camp
Lois and I are celebrating twenty-five years of marriage on Wednesday. We are off on a little get-away tomorrow, Lord willing.
We are back from a weekend at Bair Lake Bible Camp. It was a family camp and the group was very open and receptive. We made new friends and enjoyed beautiful weather. I had plenty of time to spend with the family. The camp has a nice pool so the boys have exhausted themselves swimming. Last night they crashed into bed spent and red from the sun, their eyes puffy from chlorine. They went to sleep with contented smiles on their faces. So did I.

Rejection
A wise man recently told me the secret to overcoming feelings of rejection. He said something like this: “Always know that you have something valuable to give and you will not feel rejected. If you had a stack of one hundred dollar bills to give away you would not care if someone did not want to talk to you, you would just go to the next person.

Thinking and Feeling
Sometimes I don’t think. I always feel but sometimes I just don’t think. It is common for me to drive right past the entrance to a restaurant two or three times before it dawns on me what I am doing. I sort of “feel” my way through life and forget to think.

Northwoods at Night

The North Star over Wolf Lake on Thursday night after a picture-perfect, cool, sunny day. It was a day of rich fellowship, clear water, crisp air, good food, kayaking, running, biking, sailing, singing and teaching by Mr. Gothard. It was about as close as you can get to a perfect day on in this world.
