Years ago, when I was starting a church in Ohio and needed extra income. I did some moonlighting. The Lord provided a job for me assembling play sets. It was a good job. It was in a beautiful area of the country, I worked for a fine Christian man, it paid well, and I could take my sons to work with me.

Spiritual Protection
I am often asked to speak about how to protect our children from rebellion and I am asked to address why young people turn from the faith or apparent faithfulness. I am convinced that we have lost a handle on what it means to protect our sons and daughters from danger. We live in a time when it will be unusual for sons and daughters to go on for God. If it happens they will be a part of a remnant and it will be an unusual thing. It will be a work of God. (Read Ezekiel 14)

A Lover’s Pact
Sunday nights my parents always called my grandparents when they were alive and they caught up on the week. True to family tradition I punched Kyle’s number on my cell phone last night. I drove on a summer evening between fields of corn and beans and patches of woods and we talked. He told be about his weekend with his new bride. He described the church they are visiting and the pastor’s message and he filled me in on their weekend.
